How to Allow User Registration on Your WordPress blog



Do you want your blog users to register on your blog? If yes, then you can enable user registration in your WordPress site for them to post, comment or perform other things on your site. in this article, I will show you how to allow your blog user registration on your WordPress site and manage them. 
HOW TO ENABLE USER REGISTRATION ON YOUR  WORDPRESS SITE.
Enabling User Registration in WordPress
WordPress has an in-built functionality to manage user registrations. By default, but it is turned off but you can turn it on.
Go to Settings » General page in your WordPress admin page.move down to the "Membership" area and look at the box next to ‘Anyone can register’ option.

Then select the default user role. This is the user role is given to each new user who registers on your site.
Each user role in WordPress site comes with its own permissions and ability. .The default user role is the subscriber, which you can change to any other user role available. For instance, if you want users to write posts on your website then you can change the default user role to your blog Contributor or Author.
NOTE: Never use ‘Administrator’ as default user role for user registrations.
Don’t forget to click on the Save Changes button to store your settings.
Now your WordPress site is open to user registrations.
 How to Add Login and Register Link in WordPress
A way of allowing users to register on your website and ability to log in. You need to let your users be aware that they can register and log in to your site by  the links to login and registration pages adding.
There are many  ways of doing that.
 First Method: Adding Meta Widget to WordPress  your Sidebar
The easiest way to add a login link to your WordPress is by adding the meta widget to your sidebar.
Go to Appearance » Widgets page and add ‘Meta’ widget to the sidebar.

How to Manage Users in WordPress
You can view all registered users on your website by clicking on Users in the WordPress admin area.  then WordPress will show you a list of users with their names, usernames and email addresses etc.

As an admin, you can remove any user on your blog at any time you wish.You can also edit change their roles and user profiles,  and also even change their passwords.
This gives you ultimate power on what users can or cannot do on your WordPress blog.
